Trip to London

While I was at home in the UK I also took a little trip to London to visit my lovely South African buddies - Pete, Tam, Vix and Thandi. Sadly, I didn't get to see Thands but here are some pictures of my weekend with the other three girls.

On Saturday night we celebrated Vicky's 23rd birthday with a big fat party (Grahamstown style) at The Slug and Lettuce pub. On Sunday we spent most of the day indoors watching the Wimbledon final and recovering with some delicious pootjiekos.

A weekend in Surrey.

Here are some photos from my little visit to Martin's house after I got back from the Caribbean. I enjoyed getting to know his family and generally just seeing the sights of Bagshot.

On Friday night the two Coyle boys took me out to the local night club called "Pantiles" (don't ask) which was great fun. Martin and I also went for a lovely long walk in the countryside, had many visits to the pub and even squeezed in a trip to the beach. Lovely.

So... my super-duper 5 week holiday at home has come to an end and I'm back in the humid, sweaty life of Taiwan. But, that said, I'm finding it quite easy it fit back into the routine which is great! The only down side is that every day I get comments like this because of my tan: "urgh ugly teacher you are black!!"
